"As the GRAMMY® Awards celebrates its annual ceremony, the Recording Academy continues to build on its rich tradition as the premier outlet for honoring achievements in the music community.

In 1957, a visionary group of music professionals and label executives in Los Angeles recognized the need to create an organization that would represent the creative people in the recording arts and sciences.

The founding members of the Recording Academy wanted to recognize and celebrate the artistic achievements of not only talented musicians and singers, but also important behind-the-scenes contributors such as producers and engineers.

Conceived as a way to create a real recording industry community and address some of these concerns, the Recording Academy was born and the GRAMMY® Awards process began.

The GRAMMY®s are the only peer-presented award to honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position."

Encore Consultants LLC founders and co-owners, Victor and Marina Ledin, have been twice honored as "Classical Record Producers of the Year" GRAMMY® nominees—In 1999, and in 2003.

In 2005, we again enjoyed the Recording Academy's recognition of our production Night Breeze, performed by Sarah Schuster Ericsson, on Cambria Master Recordings. Ms. Ericsson was GRAMMY® nominated as "Best Classical Solo Instrumental Performance Without Orchestra."
